Lionel Richie & The Commodores hit number 1 on the UK official album charts with their album The Definitive Collection after Richie brought the house down with his performance at Glastonbury Festival two weeks ago. This is Richie’s first UK No 1 album since Back to Front 23 years ago. As you may expect, he was very overwhelmed explaining how “performing at Glastonbury in front of all those people and for the fans to make the album Number 1 is unbelievable”. The 66-year old singer grew the biggest crowd of any of the artists at this year’s festival and his performance is manifested with his record sales feat.
