Artist Gattison, who recently charted 43rd on the Billboard dance chart, has released his brand new single “Transformation” on May 8, along with a music video! This sound is a a dance piece that mixes soul and funk with a futuristic edge.
Gattisson was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has always loved music. From a very young age, he sang and played the piano. By the age of twelve, he had already composed his first song. He started playing music in church, then became interested in the EDM as a teenager.
His family also had real musical talents and they gave him this taste for music. His aunt Dorothy Morrison was one of the original singers of the song “Oh Happy Day”. His uncle Jerry Combs signed with Warner Bros. Music and his cousin Levi Seacer Jr. played guitar for Prince.
Today, Gattisson’s music is a fresh mix of electro pop, funk, soul and dance. The artist has worked with big names such as composer Shari Short, mixing engineer Taylor Scott, mastering engineer Dale Becker, and recently, production duo Bala Mandala and Aalok Bala.
In the sound “Transformation”, Gattison conveys a message of freedom. He encourages all of us to say or do whatever we want whenever we want, because we have more to gain than to lose.
