Loupe Releases Dreamy Indie Single ‘Forest Of Our Memories’

Loupe, the Amsterdam-based indie-alt-pop band, is back with their latest single, “Forest Of Our Memories,” released on March 22nd via Excelsior Records. Following the success of their previous single, “Tested Waters,” and a headline tour in the UK, this new track is the second glimpse into their highly anticipated upcoming 4-track EP.

Recorded with producer Arne van Petegem and mixed by Beau Sorenson, “Forest Of Our Memories” maintains Loupe’s signature melancholic indie soundscapes, showcasing intricate guitar work and tight drums.

Opening with picked guitar riffs and a thick bassline, the track gradually builds into a euphoric chorus, delivering haunting melodies and vibrant rhythms. It’s a beautiful example of Loupe’s captivating indie-pop style.

Critics have praised Loupe for their dreamy songwriting and compelling melodies, with Clash describing it as “a dreamy dose of cerebral indie pop” and Atwood Magazine noting its “rush of visceral passion and raw, charged emotion.”

The band has garnered international support from the press and radio, including BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, Clash, Atwood Magazine, and EARMILK. Their global presence is evident through coverage on editorial playlists on Apple Music and Spotify, as well as appearances on billboards in Times Square, New York.

Comprising Nina on vocals and synth, Abel on guitar, Lana on bass, and Annemarie van der Born on drums, Loupe has earned a reputation as an exciting live act, having toured Europe and performed at top festivals.

One of their unique attributes lies in the equal creative collaboration among the four members, where the diverse influences of each individual, spanning from synthpop to afrobeat to folk, seamlessly merge to form a unified sound.
