Luke Evans Officially Drops Out Of ‘The Crow’ Reboot | Film News

Last Christmas, there were whispers of The Hobbit star Luke Evans, dropping out of Corin Hardy‘s reboot of cult classic The Crow and now its seems those rumours have come true, according to The Wrap. Evans’ publicist had confirmed to the site that, after its delays in production, he had decided to leave the project to pursue other opportunities.

Now comes the time for Hardy to pick the next undead avenger. Hardy will get to work, finding somebody to replace Evans, after his latest flick, The Hallow, premieres at Sundance. While The Crow reboot is likely to make a lot of nostalgia fans happy, I’m starting to question whether this film will ever actually see the light of day and now that Evans is out, will it even be worth it. With his latest success in The Hobbit trilogy, Evans had enough star power to bring in a wider audience for the film but now he’s out, Hardy’s going to have to find somebody just as popular to take on the role. Good luck with that, Hardy.
