Ma$e Discusses Almost Smacking J. Cole, His New Album, Working With Cam’ron Again & More | Interviews

While in Detroit over the weekend to perform in the Pistons/Nets half-time show, legendary Harlem rapper Ma$e stopped over at Detroit’s Hot 107.5 to speak with Control Detroit’s Bijou Star. The two chop it about what to expect on his forthcoming album, getting his just respect from Hip-Hop fans, his favourite artists right now Drake and Kanye West, still getting paid by Diddy, his relationship with Cam’ron and Jim Jones and almost getting into an altercation with J. Cole for allegedly taking shots at him on record.

“I like J. Cole when he’s not taking shots at me, I saw him one day, I was gonna hit him, but I felt like I was too grown to be knocking light skin people out. But I really like him as an artist. That’s a different generation. In our generation you said something on a record, we see you it’s action. But when I saw him I was thinking, ‘Oh, he’s just a kid… he don’t get it’.” – Mase
