There’s a first time for everything. Magician Richard Jones has become the first illusionist to win talent show Britain’s Got Talent, the army bandsman of the Household Calvary the bookies favourite to take the mantle of winner.
Overwhelmed by his victory, he commented to hosts Ant and Dec: “It’s unbelievable, thank you so much. It’s an incredible feeling. I want to thank everyone here and everyone at home watching”. Jones won a standing ovation from the judging panel and audience, also thanking his family and supporters for his victory. Personally, I had no idea this was all going on.
