Rising star Mahalia gave us the sensational Seasons EP towards the latter end of last year but now as her first order of business for 2019, she unveils the visuals to blissful new single “Do Not Disturb“.
Directed by KLVDR, it captures Mahalia in her zone in different settings. She leads the video with her feel good, carefree dancing, which just makes her more relatable. As she becomes fixated with her phone, frustrated while massaging the guy in question, her dancing almost becomes symbolic, a way to block out the unnecessary negativity. She truly is in her element.
“Do Not Disturb” is likely the preface of a new album in the works which we should expect sometime soon. This year Mahalia will take to the U.S., headlining shows and festivals from April through November, including select dates in May, along with an autumn U.S. headline tour.
