Polishing off a world tour, African-Australian rapper and artist Manu Crook$ has blessed us with the visuals to match his sultry single “Fuego”
The DOPAMINE-produced single has already proven to be a hit, having been added to the Kiss Fresh playlist alongside Spotify UK’s Alternative Hip Hop Playlist so a music video was surely an inevitability. Frequent collaborator Anfa Rose, whose vocals feature on the crescendoing hook, also finds his renaissance on this Latin Pop-tinged cut.
Looking like it’s come directly from a blockbuster film, Jaen Collective have put together a visual masterpiece which is dripping in Parisian luxury and works hand in hand with the theme of the song. Crook$ is at the centre of the action as he wards of the sly and villainous looking antagonist from the beautiful Jelena Markovic, winning her over in the process.
Receiving praise from tastemaker sites such as i-D, The Fader and Pigeons & Planes, as well as his contemporaries including Big Boi and A$AP Ferg who brought him on stage during a recent Sydney performance, this momentum has MANU CROOK$ touted as one of the most exciting emerging artists of 2018.
