It’s the Marvel movie that sent the world reeling, and not just in the juicy plot twist at the end. Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War has passed the $1bn mark in the book of worldwide box office profits. Variety has reported that Civil War is the fourth in the Marvel roster to reach that amount.
Starring an astonishing range of superheroes played by actors from Paul Rudd to Scarlett Johansson and Tom Holland, the now finished Captain America trilogy has helped reportedly propel Marvel studio profits to a gross of a staggering $10bn since 2008 when Iron Man arrived on our screens.
May it continue all the way to Infinity War: Part 1 and Part 2.
