Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Mr. Robot, and The Leftovers were among the 11 major winners who were honoured by the judges of the Peabody Awards.
The media awards are given away every year to people, programmes, and institutions who have contributed to public service through art and TV. Netflix picked up three of the awards in the Entertainment and Children’s Programming category, for Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Breasts of No Nation starring Idris Elba, and Aziz Ansari’s Master of None.
Amazon also picked up awards for Mr. Robot and The Leftovers and Transparent, alongside ABC family comedy back-ish, Sundance’s Deutschland 83, PBS and BBC’s period drama Wolf Hall and Cbeebies series Katie Morag.
