For months now, talks of the Olsen Twins joining the cast of Full House reboot Fuller House, have been swirling, with producer Robert L Boyett finally shutting it down and confirming that they would not be in it. In a statement back in May, Boyett told the Hollywood Reporter that “although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of ‘Fuller House’, I know how much ‘Full House’ has meant to them and they are still very much considered family“.
Now rumours are starting up again that they may just make a return. At the Television Critics Association press tour Netflix’s CEO Ted Sarandos teased that, “The Olsens are teetering whether they would be around… there’s a bunch of stunt opportunity for them in the future if they want to, if they choose to“. Even though it would be cool to have the twins back, I’m a 90’s kid after all and they were a big part of my childhood and it would be nice to see them acting again; as they played one character, how would they go about making a return, they’re not identical and though they do look very similar, you can tell who is who.
So how would they play the same character? Or would it be a thing where they found out that Michelle Tanner was actually a twin and they somehow implement that story into the show? So much confusion! Fuller House premiers on Netflix next year with original cast members Bob Saget, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin starring.
