Matt Reeves Completes Production On ‘The Batman’ Starring Robert Pattinson | Film News

 

After nearly two years in the making, the new film The Batman with Robert Pattinson playing the hero should be in cinemas by March 4, 2022. The production took much longer than expected because of the pandemic, as the film has a big production, anybody who was suspected of COVID had to stop the production.

 

The DC Comics Batman character film was directed by Matt Reeves and on March 13, 2021, he shared a picture on his Twitter account, which confirmed the last moments of filming. He paired with Peter Graig for the writing, and it will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

 

The cast is an all-star one, with Robert Pattinson playing Batman also known as Bruce Wayne, Zoë Kravitz as Seline Kyle (Catwoman), Paul Dano as Edward Nashton (The Riddler). But also Jeffrey Wright, who will be the first colored person to play the role of James Gordon, and more of the basic Batman characters.

 

Regarding the story itself, it is a basic Batman story. As he continues fighting crime, the superhero Batman discovers all the corruption that is happening in Gotham City and how it may tie to his own family, which passed away a long time ago. Bruce will cross paths with a serial killer known as The Riddler and will save the city from his hands.

 

Spin-offs and TV shows are already in the works for this film, there should be three possible sequels for The Batman. So we should see a lot of the Batman character in the next two years. Now that we have a release date, we should also soon get the first trailer for us to look at while waiting for the release of the film next year.
