Jason Statham is your guy if you need to punch, kick or drive over something and often someone. This time it doesn’t seem to be that simple. At least it seems so in the trailer for The Meg that Warner Bros. Studios has dropped. After seeing that shark I wouldn’t even try it that way, to be honest. This shark makes others look like aquarium fish.
The storyline is based on the book Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steven Alten and follows Jonas played by Jason Statham. He is a rescue diver and is called to save a team of scientists that are trapped under the sea. Their problem is a giant shark, a megalodon to be more precise. Yeah, the one that should’ve been extinct for more than two million years.
Jason Statham is joined by Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao and Cliff Curtis. The film will premiere on August 10.
