It has been announced that Miley Cyrus and The 1975 will be headlining BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which will take place in Middlesborough this year.
BBC Radio 1 tweeted the news with a short video compiled of Cyrus’s, The 1975, Little Mix, Mabel, Zara Larsson, and Khalid’s hit songs. See below:

Last year the festival was held in Swansea, with artists like Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello and Florence & The Machine headlining, but some southern fans are slightly upset that the festival tends to always take place up north:
Frustrating that big weekend is constantly up North or Midlands??😫 would have been nice to have seen it more Central/South this year…

Nonetheless, if you can get your hands on tickets, it’ll definitely be worth the travel if you’re not from Middlesborough.
