Two of the finest to come from the southside of London join forces for another UK heater. Ms Banks enlists the help of Drill ‘Cool Kid’ Loski from the Harlem Spartans for new track “R.I.P“. Having premiered on Clash Magazine a few short days ago, we are treated to a icy cold video and, as always, Ms Banks does not disappoint.
While “Come Thru“ was a spectacular way to open 2018, with the London MC oozing with “black girl magic” amid heavy, head-nodding production, “R.I.P” is a display of Banks’ versatility as a rap artist as she embodies the drill flavour. As Loski comes through, both artists lay down their bars as they address all of the talk from the haters. Not to mention that the video is pretty menacing.
With her highly-anticipated mixtape The Coldest Winter Ever – her most nuanced project to date – set for release this month, Ms Banks is ensuring her fans are geared up for the release and critics don’t sleep on her talent.
