It is that time again and MTV UK & Ireland have linked up once again with Emporio Armani Diamonds to search for the best unsigned artists in the UK to not only be handed a spot on the renowned MTV Brand New For 2014 shortlist but also to perform live in London for MTV as the MTV Brand New For 2014 Unsigned winner. You will do well to remember last year’s winner Ebony Day who not only won the unsigned competition but also went on to be crowned the overall MTV Brand New For 2014 crown, beating out the likes of Gabrielle Aplin, Tom Odell and Kodaline.
To enter the competition, unsigned acts must go to www.mtv.co.uk/unsigned where they will be able to create a profile and submit their best track to be considered by the MTV panel. However, all entries must be in by October 25 so do get cracking.
After all submissions have been made, a whittled down longlist of entrants will be selected to go through to the next stage which will see the public vote for who they would like to win the MTV Brand New For 2014 Unsigned competition, with the ten most voted artists put in front of a panel of MTV editorial music experts to select the eventual winner who will then be added to the final MTV Brand New For 2014 shortlist – announced on November 27.
