Unlike the 2004 film adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Netflix series uses more of the original source material than just the first novel.
Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is only eight episodes and four books into its first season, but there’s still a long way to go. Netflix has now officially announced that they will be adapting all thirteen books of the original novel series into three total seasons.
Daniel Handler, who wrote the books under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket, revealed that the next five books would be covered in Season Two’s ten episodes and the final four books would meet the small screen through eight more episodes.
There are currently no announced plans to adapt the prequel series, All The Wrong Questions, but the good (or bad?) news for fans is that everyone’s favorite intelligent and reasonably attractive orphans have eighteen more episodes of unfortunate situations ahead of them!
