The seventh and final season for Orange Is The New Black will premiere on Netflix on July 26, and the streaming network has released a new teaser trailer for the series. As we can see from the backstage teaser, the lead cast are all back including Danielle Brooks, Taylor Schilling, Dascha Polanco and Uzo Aduba, and singing the theme to the opening credit of Regina Spektor’s “You’ve Got Time” acapella style.
The teaser reveals no pictures from the show or what will happen during this final season, but we know the goodbyes will be heartbreaking.
For the final season, we can expect to pick things up with the inmates from Litchfield such as Piper’s struggles with life outside of the prison, how Taystee and Cindy’s friendship will survive the last season, considering Taystee facing a life sentence for being accused of murdering a cop. The season will also see the return of the comic duo Flaca and Marisol, who we missed in the last season.
Earlier this year, Netflix announced that the hit television series, which was created by Jenji Kohan, would end after season 7. The show aired for the first time on Netflix on July 11, 2013, and the show has garnered 12 Primetime Emmy nominations and received four Emmys in that time, including two wins for Uzo Aduba in 2014 and 2015.
Bring your tissues for the last season, Orange Is The New Black will be available worldwide on Netflix on July, 26.
