The streaming platform Netflix has unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming Italian thriller titled A Classic Horror Story to be released on July 14 on the platform globally. The movie will be quite a thriller when looking at the short but intense trailer.
The movie was inspired by some originals and thriller Italian horror movies references like movies made by Dario Argento such as the 80’s movie Inferno, or by Mario Bava with Rabid Dogs for example. This movie will usher in a new era for this genre of Italian film.
Regards the premise and plot details, the story will follow a set of five carpoolers traveling in a motorhome. When night falls, they have to avoid a dead animal carcass on their journey and they sadly crash into a tree. But when they come to their senses, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere, in a forest far from everything.
The road they were traveling on has disappeared and there is only a wooden house in the middle of a field – classic horror movie start – which they discover is the home of a spine-chilling cult… The ending is unknown and we will have to wait a few weeks to get to the end of the creepy story.
The film is co-directed by Roberto De Feo and Paolo Strippoli. Produced by Milan-based Colorado Film, it was shot over five weeks in Italy’s southern Apulia region, and in Rome. The cast is also revealed.
Francesco Russo, Peppino Mazzotta, Yulia Sobol, Will Merrick, Alida Baldari Calabria and Cristina Donadio from series Gomorrah and finally Matilda Lutz, will all be part of the cast.
