It turns out we’ll be seeing a lot more of Jessica Day and her roomies next year, as Fox’s successful comedy, New Girl, has been renewed for a sixth season. Zooey Deschanel, who plays the adorable Jess, took a small break from the show during her pregnancy, but now everything’s back to normal.
Fox president David Madden said in a statement, “Every network comedy should aspire to what Liz Meriwether is achieving in New Girl, with its bravura dialogue, inventive and witty performances by the talented cast and emotionally engaging storytelling.
The series is as creatively strong today as it ever was, we want to congratulate New Girl on reaching its milestone 100th episode and we can’t wait for the next subversive and hilarious chapter of these characters’ lives”.
The official release date of New Girl’s sixth season has yet to be announced; until then, you can keep watching the hilarious current fifth season on E4.
