This summer is going to be hot, and not just weather-wise. Everyone’s favorite long-nosed, affectionate villain, Gru, will be returning to the big screen at the end of June with Despicable Me 3!
The second official trailer for the upcoming installment to the franchise dropped not that long ago and the nearly three minute clip opens with the excited, adorable yelp of a minion.
I’m not sure if the trailer meant to reveal as much as it did – Gru losing his job, Gru having a non-bald twin brother, Dru, said non-bald twin brother convincing Gru to take on a last heist job – but there are certainly a few questions that it leaves behind as well.
Steve Carrell will be returning as Gru, but will also be voicing new character, Dru. Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand and Nev Scharrel will all reprise their roles. Trey Parker will make his debut in the franchise as Balthazar Bratt.
Make sure to catch the film when it hits theatres June 30!
