Robert Eggers upcoming horror and directional debut The Witch tells of a family in 1630’s New England who are torn apart by witchcraft and black magic. The latest trailer doesn’t give much away, however we are drawn into a dark and twisted world of black magic and witchcraft.
Starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie and Julian Richings, The Witch received rave reviews following its screening at the Sundance Film Festival last year. Produced on a budget of $1 million and based upon Eggers own screenplay, The Witch was acquired by A24 Films for theatrical release. I highly recommend this one, even if your not too keen on horror films, this is one that’s not to be missed.
