NewJeans, the K-pop sensation, is set to double up the excitement this summer with not one, but two single album releases. Following the success of their January 2023 single album OMG, the group is ready to drop new tunes that will surely delight their fans.
The first single album, titled How Sweet, is scheduled for release on May 24. It features the title track along with another catchy tune called “Bubble Gum”. Additionally, fans can enjoy instrumental versions of both songs.
Transitioning seamlessly, the group will mark their official debut in Japan with the Japanese single album Supernatural, slated for release on June 21. This album will feature the title track along with “Right Now” and two instrumental tracks.
Excitement mounts as “Bubble Gum” debuts in Japan ahead of the mini-album’s release, being featured in a commercial and a TV program next month. Similarly, “Right Now” will be pre-release as a commercial song in Japan and South Korea in May.
To celebrate their Japanese debut, NewJeans will host a two-day meet concert, on June 26-27.
In addition to their music endeavors, NewJeans received the Group of the Year Award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music event, celebrating their chart feats in 2023.
As they gear up for their summer releases and Japan debut, NewJeans also announced a 2025 world tour, spreading their musical charm across the globe.
Reflecting on their Y2K revivalism, Hanni shared, “It’s kind of like bringing back the old trends…For that to be a part of our music and image also leaves us a lot of room for creative expansion.”
