Nia Vardalos, the star of successful film My Big Fat Greek Wedding is currently working on the sequel after 12 years. Vardalos wrote the 2002 comedy and is in the process of writing the second film. John Corbett who played Vardalos’s love interest in the first film is set to return to the sequel, along with the original cast. The sequel will show the characters played by Vardalos and Corbett ten years into their marriage. Vardalos played Toula in the film, a 30 something year old Greek woman who works in her Father’s restaurant. The film will show more of Greek culture and the way the couple deal with the different cultures in their family.
