Niall Horan from One Direction will join the likes of successful former band member Zayn Malik and will be releasing his own solo album.
1D broke millions of hearts fans after the announcement of their hiatus as a group to pursue solo endeavours. Liam Payne is reportedly working with rapper Juicy J, Louis Tomlinson is creating his own girl band and Harry Styles has been in-talks about working on solo work since last summer.
Song writer Wayner Hector (who has written many songs with 1D) has been working with both Horan and Styles for their up-coming albums. Speaking about Horan he says, “We are writing together but he wants to do it for himself and not other people at the moment. We have no idea where we’ll end up”. And Styles he goes on and says whilst on BBC Newsbeat, “I’ve heard that Harry’s stuff is supposed to be phenomenal. Niall is really gifted musically and is a great guitarist”.
Only time will tell which members will archive the same success as Zayn, who is the only British male solo singer to debut at number one in the UK and US with his debut single “Pillow Talk” and album Mind Of Mine, since they dispersed and have been given creative freedom to find their own sound and musical capabilities. If Zayn is anything to go by, we may see these boys turn from pre-teen pop singer into serious musical artists.
