Nick Thorburn who is best known for his work with The Unicorns, Islands, Mister Heavenly and the music for the ‘Serial’ podcast, has announced that he is releasing his first short film, ‘That Dog’ The film is written and directed by Thorburn and is due to star Michael Cera, Tim Heidecker and Natasha Leggero. Pitchfork reports that the film with be fifteen minutes and chronicles three residents of an apartment complex who “raise social awkwardness and crass insensitivity to the level of art form”, according to its description. The film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, which will be on the 10 – 20 of September.
