Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart makes a compelling entrance with her latest single, “Talking To Your Sunflowers,” alongside the announcement of her upcoming EP titled Sorry I’m So Sensitive.

Produced by Oskar Winberg and released on Kin Records, the single premiered on BBC Radio One’s Future Pop show. “Talking To Your Sunflowers” follows last year’s standout single, “I Don’t Want To Love You Anymore,” both set to feature on the forthcoming EP.

Bea Stewart has already garnered support from notable platforms such as BBC Radio 1, Wonderland, Amazing Radio, Notion, and Earmilk, earning three coveted spots on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist.

The current track, infused with folk influences and captivating pop aesthetics, serves as a poignant tribute to Bea’s father, delving into the challenges of leaving the family nest. In a statement about the song, Bea shares her personal experience of leaving home at an age when the transition to adulthood was imminent, highlighting the emotional impact on both herself and her father.

Accompanied by a visually engaging video directed by Marieke Maclon, the song gains an additional layer of emotional depth. Bea Stewart emphasizes that the song serves as a constant reminder of the importance of self-compassion, resonating with her ongoing journey of self-discovery.

Originary from the outskirts of Belfast, Bea draws inspiration from the rich Irish folk tradition that shaped her upbringing. Her sentimental songwriting, centered on honest narration and palpable vulnerability, provides a captivating musical experience, addressing the complexities of life.

With a four-date UK tour on the horizon and the gradual release of EP tracks in the coming weeks, 2024 holds great promise for Bea.

Her musical authenticity and ability to connect emotionally with her audience suggest a continued rise in the music scene.
