Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul has shared the first full trailer for El Camino. The upcoming film based on the classic TV drug drama is set to premiere on Netflix next month.
El Camino, directed by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, picks up after where the show left off. The newly released trailed confirms that the sequel is centred on Aaron Paul’s character Jesse Pinkman.
The plot description reads as follows: “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future”.
The forthcoming spinoff will see Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul actor Jonathan Banks reprise his role as former corrupt police officer Mike Ehrmantraut.
The cast of El Camino also includes Matt Jones and Charles Baker as two of Jesse’s friends, Badger Mayhew and Skinny Pete respectively.
Breaking Bad was originally broadcast on American TV channel AMC. Now, all five seasons of the Emmy-winning drama are also available on Netflix.
In 2015, Better Call Saul, the prequel to the successful series premiered, featuring Bob Odenkirk as small-time attorney Jimmy McGill. The just got renewed for a fifth season.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will be available to stream on Netflix from October 8.
