Offset really gets things steamy as he unveils his brand new video for “Clout“, featuring Cardi B. The track originally comes from Offset’s solo effort, his first away from the Migos trio, the critically-acclaimed, introspective February release Father of 4.
Creative-directed by Offset and Joseph Desrosiers Jr. and directed by Daniel Russell, the yellow-themed clip showcases the couple’s undeniable chemistry. “Clout” sees Offset and Cardi take down the clout chasers and coattail riding trolls, and take back their names from the clickbait users.
It opens with a masked Offset playing a yellow piano before destroying a cake with a yellow chainsaw. Cardi also heavily, giving her man a lap dance while giving the camera an eyeful.
“Everybody wanna be this, if I was you, I’d hate me bitch,” she raps. “Read my rhymes, n***a, suck my dick / All of that talk and I’m calling it out / Public opinions from private accounts / You not a check, then you gotta bounce.”
Father of 4, which entered the Billboard Top 200 at #4, also featured appearances from J. Cole, Travis Scott and 21 Savage. Offset will be re-uniting with the Migos clan for the third installment in the Culture series. Expect a new album next year.
