Paco Versailles is a rising duo led by Vahagni and Ryan Merchant.
It all started in 2016 when Vahagni joined Ryan’s band Capital Cities as lead guitarist on a number of tours. They became friends and discovered their mutual attraction of Spanish Culture. Through subconscious co-creation, the seeds of Dancemenco were planted and in 2019, Paco Versailles was born.
Since, they have been highlighted on The Joe Rogan Experience when they topped Hype Machine’s Popular Charts.
The stage name was conceived while imagining a collaboration between Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucia and French electronic artists Daft Punk and Air both products of the Parisian suburb of Versailles. There are the duo’s biggest influences.
Previously they have released a rendition of “Ventura Highway” a tropical, breezy take on the American original.
This Song Is Sick said about it:
“This vibrant new track brings a funky, bright groove throughout that will put anyone in a good mood. The summer-ready single combines elements of flamenco guitar, dance-ready production, shuffling percussion and funky basslines that provide the pleasant foundation for the uplifting vocals to shine”.
Paco Versailles’ lastest track is a slowed-down rendition of “Unwind” and has been released on October 31. The track features calming vocals, intricate Spanish-guitar solos and a swaging energy that’ll cause a feel-good feeling. Stunning violin colors the track, adding another layer of depth and emotion. We can find all Paco Versailles’ unique skills.
The “I think we’re moving too fast, but I want to fall right into you” hook will stay stuck all day in your head.
