We have seen a lot of sci-fi thrillers that have a certain ‘feeling’ to them, for example, Shutter Island. Now another one is currently in the filming process, Paradise Hills. After announcing Emma Roberts, Eiza Gonzales and Danielle Macdonald, they have now revealed more actors and actresses that will join these three ladies.
Milla Jovovich, Jeremy Irvine, Alfie Allen and Awkwafina are also part of the cast. These names ring a bell? After all, Milla Jovovich is well known for her role in Resident Evil but the other three are not so unknown. Jeremy Irvine can be seen later this year in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Alfie Allen portrayed Theon Greyjoy in the HBO production Game of Thrones.
Quite an impressive cast for the directorial debut of Alice Waddington. The film’s plot was also originally her and Sofia Cuenca idea. The screenplay is written by Brian Deleeuw, Nacho Vigalondo and Sofia Cuenca.
The plot is set in the near future and follows Uma, played by Emma Roberts, who wakes up one day in a reform school for girls of wealthy families. There, her mind is systematically destroyed.
