Paramount have a lot of projects in motion, and they’ve just settled on release dates for three of their major ones.
George Clooney‘s Suburbicon will be released Friday, November 3. The film stars Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Josh Brolin and Oscar Isaac in a story of the titular quiet family town where a break-in that ends in a death reveals the seedier side of seemingly normal people. Clooney will direct from a script written by the Coen brothers. Exciting.
Action Point, starring Johnny Knoxville will be released March 23, 2018. Inspired by the infamous Action Park amusement part in New Jersey, the film follows the disastrous consequences of a theme park run by Knoxville and his friends. The film is written by Knoxville and Silicon Valley co-creators, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky. Tim Kirby (Veep, Man Seeking Woman) will direct.
John Krasinksi‘s A Quiet Point, in which he will co-star with wife, Emily Blunt, will be released April 13, 2018. The film is a supernatural thriller in the vein of The Purge, set on a farm where a family has been terrorised by a ghostly being for some time. It will be Krasinski’s first big studio film as a director.
Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation is set for today in Las Vegas, so expect presentations on these projects and many others.
