We haven’t had good a Doctor Who spin off series since the days of Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. However there could be a new kid on the block, the BBC have confirmed that current Time Lord, Peter Capaldi will be making an appearance in Class.
A series of eight 45-minute episodes based in the fictional Coal Hill School in Shoreditch, where Clara Oswald has been seen teaching during the 50th Anniversary Special The Day of the Doctor. Sources told the Radio Times that Class had a “close connection with Doctor Who so don’t be surprised if Peter pops up”.
Written by Patrick Ness, the series is described as having the “action, heart and adrenalin of the best YA [young adult] fiction [such as] Buffy the Vampire Slayer [and] Hunger Games”.
