Petition For Glastonbury To Replace Kanye West As Headliner Receives Over 12,000 Signatures | Music News

Yesterday (March 16), it was announced that Hip Hop legend Kanye West would be headlining top music festival Glastonbury but it seems not everyone is pleased with the news. Kanye West has recently received criticism over his performance of new track “All Day” at the Brit Awards last month, and some fans seem to be outraged that he has now been announced as the headliner for Saturday night at Glastonbury, with a petition being been launched on Change.org calling for Glastonbury organizers to find a replacement act.

The petition was launched by ‘music fan’ Neil Lonsdale who said, “Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend Glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment. Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music… he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving! Lets prevent this musical injustice now“. The petition has gained a lot of support with over 12,000 signatures in nearly 24 hours, but equally many people have been praising Glastonbury officials on Twitter for taking a risk with the controversial rapper.
