Pharrell Williams Performs ‘Hunter’ On ‘The Voice’ | Music News

The US edition of The Voice reached its pivotal live stages this week, with contestants battling out to win the votes of the American public and keep their place in the competition. Now in its seventh season, the show is currently headed by the superstar coach line-up of Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and new kids on the block Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams who have fitted into their new roles almost effortlessly. Swapping his seat for the stage once again, Pharrell opened Tuesday night’s (November 11) live edition with an inspired performance of track “Hunter“.

Taken from his current album G I R L, the track in question was written from the perspective of an amorous female and includes the suggestive lyrics “just because it’s the middle of night / That don’t mean I won’t hunt you down”. For such a captivating and intense track, Pharrell did not disappoint and came out guns blazing, performing in a jungle setting surrounded by females dressed in the G I R L attire of bath robes along with Amazonian female dancers, including his female troupe the ‘BAES’ who dominated the performance.
