Pink Floyd will not release any more music after their upcoming album. It’s been 20 years since The Division Bell came out, and one last album will be added to complete the legendary band’s collection of fifteen albums. It’s titled The Endless River and the first track available from the album is “Louder Than Words”, a slow tempo piece whose characteristic instrumentation is immediately recognized. It is, guitarist David Gilmour says, a tribute to multi-instrumentalist Rick Wright, who passed away in 2008. The lyrics were penned by Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson. Listen to Gilmour speaking to BBC 6 Music about “Louder Than Words”. The Endless River will be released on November 10, here is the first song “Louder Than Words”.
