Internationally acclaimed rock legends Pink Floyd have announced a brand new album release for the first time in over two decades. After the recent internet release of a new album artwork, it’s now officially confirmed that Pink Floyd will be releasing their fifteenth studio album titled The Endless River. The album will be divided into eighteen tracks across four discs, and will mainly be instrumental-based tracks, apart from the track “Louder Than Words“.
The group have revisited material that was written during the Division Bell era. Keyboard player Richard Wright died of cancer in 2008, and the band feel that this is the right time to release new material as a tribute, with drummer Nick Mason saying, “The Endless River is a tribute to Rick. I think this record is a good way of recognising a lot of what he does and how his playing was at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. Listening back to the sessions, it really brought home to me what a special player he was“. The Endless River is to be released on the 10th of November.
