As any fan of the late Nirvana front man will know, as well as being a talented and significant musician, Kurt Cobain was a keen visual artist, and they will be undoubtedly thrilled to hear that plans for a Cobain art exhibition are currently underway.

Jeff Jampol – the manager of Cobain’s estate along with other well-known musicians such as Janis Joplin – is working with Frances Bean Cobain and Courtney Love to organise the exhibition which will showcase some of Cobain’s works as well as various possessions that previously belonged to the singer. He says that Cobain has “some amazing canvases that a lot of the world has never seen or heard of”.

With the release of recent documentary Montage of Heck (2015) and the controversial Soaked in Bleach (2015), it would seem that there is an infinite wealth of information to uncover surrounding the singer’s life. Jampol is accurate in stating that Cobain’s work is ‘going to be relevant for centuries’.
