Portugal-based singer-songwriter and music producer Tsumaniz has revealed a brand new single titled “Sleepin’ with My Friendz”.
The indie electro-rock artist Bruno Sobral, better know under the stage name of Tsunamiz, has gained attention for his particularity to mix different styles of music from alternative rock to electronic and hip-hop music.
Composing and producing by himself, the artist has released five EPs so far, Evil Live (2015), Whoreporate Censorshit (2017), New Birth Guerrilla (2019), Afterbirth Afterparty (2020) and Looney Tunez (2022).
Having burned the stage of famous venues across Europe, Tsunamiz has the speciality to offer qualitative performances in order to display his voice in its best shape backed up by electric guitar in collaboration with a DJ.
Personal, political, social, philosophical and cultural issues are the subjects covered by the lyrics of the Lisbon-based artist. Already designated to be one of the notorious rising stars of the new Portuguese generation, the artist has launched the second single of the Looney Tunez album titled “Sleepin’ with My Friendz”.
Following the unforgettable “Magickal Seeds”, “Sleepin’ with My Friendz” appears as a soft and melodic image of the producer with a touch of free love psychedelic rock hymn matched up with a bunch of urban intricate drum beats, which ends on a mesmerizing closing segment.
Speaking about the track, the artist says: “This track sort of sounds like if Kurt Cobain made a Bob Marley song produced by Kanye West. I have no musical prejudices. This is the main reason why I’m still passionate about composing and producing music”.
The song came out along a video directed by Realish’ Films and features the skater Andreia Luz.
