Prince is due to release a new album The Hit & Run Album with his band 3rdEyeGirl. The group released their first album last year called Plectrumelectrum and are now set to return with a “super experimental” and “super funky” follow up later this year. 3rdEeyeGirl broke the news to BBC 6 Music saying “It’s phenomenal, there are so many hits on this album. It’s super experimental“, they added that the album will reference their run of secret gigs in the UK throughout 2014. The group who is made up of Donna Grantis, Ida Nielsen and Hannah Ford Welton, did not reveal a release date for the album but confirmed that is would be out “soon“.
