Rachel McAdams Lands Female Lead Role In ‘Doctor Strange’? | Film News

Many a strong female have taken to the Marvel Universe. Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson have all been among the actresses to play supporting roles in superhero films, now rumour has it that Rachel Mcadams could be added to the list. Apparently she has been offered the female lead in the up and coming movie; Doctor Strange. Its open to full speculation but the role of Clea for McAdams, seems to stand out.

As the story goes, Clea “winds up betraying her master for the Sorcerer Supreme, and winds up being a close ally of his in the Dark Dimension (and a lover). She is a sorceress in her own right, possessing many of the same abilities as Strange“. Benedict Cumberbatch was recently announced to play the title role in Doctor Strange, but will he and McAdams be the next big Marvel foes? I think it would be pretty darn fetch if this happens.
