Rami Malek To Star Opposite Denzel Washington In ‘Little Things’ | Film News

Oscar winner Rami Malek is in talks to star with Denzel Washington, in the upcoming cop thriller Little Things for Warner Bros. John Lee Hancock is directing and writing the script, and Mark Johnson is producing. The film will begin production in early September.

Denzel Washington is famous for giving upcoming actors a chance and sharing the screen with them, and according to reports, this role is similar to his sharp Training Day character. We are typically used to seeing the Fences actor wearing a badge in many of his movies, but we haven’t seen this in a while it seems.

Malek is making a deal to play a sharp young detective who teams up with a seen-it-all deputy sheriff on the hunt for a serial killer. The sheriff has a nose for the small details that are helpful to find the bigger picture, but he’s got baggage and a willingness to cut corners with his younger partners.

Malek recently followed his Oscar turn in the global hit Bohemian Rhapsody by signing on to play the supervillain in Bond 25, the working title for the next James Bond film that Cary Fukunaga will direct with Daniel Craig reprising the titular role.

The Bohemian Rhapsody actor will also be reprising his role as Elliot Anderson in Mr Robot for its fourth and final season. Sam Esmail, the showrunner, has said of the season, that it will be “one very long Christmas special that will last about a week over Christmas of 2015“. No release date has been announced for the season premiere.
