If you’re a Smiths fan then you are in for one last Christmas treat, a user on the Morrissey-Solo website has uploaded rare versions of Morrissey / Smiths songs to SoundCloud. These demos have been known to exist and been in the hands of a small number of collectors but these demos have previously never been available to the public.
The Smiths demos include songs such as “Cemetry Gates”, “Never Had No One Ever”, instrumental versions of “Bigmouth Strikes Again” and Morrissey demos include songs like “Bengali In Platforms, “Southpaw” and “He Knows I’d Love To See Him”. You can listen to the “Never Had No One Ever” below:
