R&B/Soul Artist Chloe Castro Releases New Single ‘FUTURE’

UK-based R&B/Soul artist Chloe Castro has dropped her first single since the release of her debut EP AMID in October 2020. This brand new single is entitled “FUTURE”.

The single was announced earlier this year as one of BBC Introducing Tips for 2021. In it, Chloe delivers a dark, sassy and powerful song saying that “I don’t care if we break-up” and that is promoting independence and self-worth. She delivers her message through straight-to-the-point lyrics and emotive vocals.

“FUTURE” is a song that touches on the vulnerability we can feel when we are in love but also the frustration when we are underestimated. These lyrics are associated with a self-assured “Fuck you” attitude and this combination is creating the perfect vibe for this summer.

Chloe Castro describes her song like this: “Future is my way of saying let me do me, I know what’s best for me. Like feeling underestimated by someone but knowing your worth and not caring what anyone thinks, even someone you love.

Chloe spent her childhood living between France, Brazil and Wales but has finally relocated to the North East of England, where she began to write songs at the age of 11. In 2016, she was on National Television battling in the quarter of finals of BBC One’s The Voice UK.

After her successful television debut, she dedicated the next few years to honing her skills and building her repertoire in a studio – in her spare bedroom – with producer and co-writer Jake Karno.

Chloe cites as her inspiration, artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bryson Tiller and Frank Ocean, and she manages to delicatly blend R&B and Soulful tones with some Trap and elements of rap to create her unique sound.
