Rising R&B artist Otis Kane encapsulates the first spark of true love in his latest single “Lost”, freshly released. And the least we can say is that the LA artist understands what makes a classic.
With a buttery falsetto and soothing guitar riff, he creates a world of his own to confess his feelings of finally finding his missing piece. The honest record is a sweet reminder that these emotions still exist and are powerful enough to heal your soul.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, the singer explains: “‘Lost’ is about knowing you found the one, but hoping they feel the same. […] I’m trying to explore those feelings, the ups and downs, the desperation, and the magic of knowing this person exists. A mix of pleading and possibilities, I think we all feel somewhat lost until we find that person.”
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Otis Kane found a passion for music at a very young age. He worked and travelled with Nelle for a little over a year before he was offered the position of MD/keyboard player for Capitol Records artist Lolene, touring with Lolene for a year and securing his first major label production on her record.
After touring, he opened a studio in Los Angeles called STRZ Enterprises. STRZ became a hot spot in Hollywood graced with superstars before he eventually left to pursue his own artist journey.
After the successful release of his debut EP Therapy in October which saw close to one million streams globally, Otis Kane continues to build momentum, being recognized as one of the hottest emerging R&B talents in the country. He will be unveiling an exciting follow-up EP, filled with new collaborations, which is currently slated for a February release.
