Popular rock band The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been forced to cancel two gigs at short notice following Anthony Kiedis‘ admission to hospital. Their lead singer is expected to make a full recovery, but came down with a stomach bug whilst the band were touring in California.
The band have sold over 60 million records around the world and were understandably disappointed about not being able to play for their fans. Band members took to Twitter and other social networks to reassure fans that they would make a return to the stage very soon.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have won six Grammy awards and are expected to release their first new album in five years, The Getaway, this June. The band will be touring extensively this year; to see a list of dates, click here.
