When Love Actually came out, it became the ultimate Christmas movie and the first promo for its sequel is here to remind you of all the magic it first brought us nearly 14 years ago. Most of your favourite characters are expected to return, except for our beloved Alan Rickman, who passed away last year and his lovely on-screen wife, played by the wonderful Emma Thompson.
The cats recreate the most iconic scene of the movie, namely the one where Mark, played by pre-Walking Dead Andrew Lincoln uses cue cards to confess his love for Juliet (Keira Knightley) who just happens to be the wife of his best friend, Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor). The cast invites you to place your bets on where every character is at this point in their life and, of course, who aged best. Hint: Believe it or not, it’s not Colin Firth!
The sequel will arrive on March 24 and is a part of Comic Relief and Red Nose Day, a project which aims to help reduce child poverty. It was found by Love Actually director, Richard Curtis, who will this year add his own contribution to the cause, because on Red Nose Day ‘unexpected things happen’.
