Shot in Las Vegas, funny but with a lovely happy ending, the video for “Amigos Con Derecho” has finally dropped today. This song is the result of an excellent collaboration between Mexican trio Reik and Maluma.
The single is a perfect combination between the melodic pop from Reik and the urban style of Maluma. The title roughly translates to “friends with benefits” in English and simply tells this kind of love story.
The song was written by Reik and they declared: “The lyrics felt like they made sense to do it with someone like Maluma”. It was mid July when the first pictures of the group appeared online and the song is a great result.
It is a golden moment for the Columbian singer, as is collecting collaborations everywhere; the trio is made of Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas (lead vocals), Julio Ramírez Eguía (guitar/background vocals), and Gilberto Marín Espinoza (guitar), and are very famous especially in South America.
Latin music is currently impacting the world and Maluma is definitely contributing to this. After the sensual hit “Clandestino” with Shakira, his latest solo hit “Mala Mia” has gained success worldwide and the artist has been nominated twice recently at the MTV Video Music Awards that he attended.
