After months of social media teasing, Rich the Kid has finally released his new collaborative track with Kendrick Lamar, entitled “New Freezer”. After a tweet back in January said that he was working with Lamar and a since deleted Instagram post of the two together in the studio, buzz began to grow.
When Rich the Kid was reached out to for comment, he noted that him and Lamar had “great chemistry together” and that the song would be called “For the Birds” for his upcoming album.
Since the release, Rich the Kid has noted that initially he showed Kendrick Lamar “For the Birds” but after hearing “New Freezer”, Lamar loved the track and was determined to be on it even though it was previously meant to feature A$AP Ferg and MadeinTYO.
