Richard Belzer is due to return to Law & Order: SVU this week, with Detective John Munch rejoining his unit this coming Wednesday in a shocking episode where he helps Olivia Benson – played by Mariksa Hargitay – when a young model is sexually attacked by a famous fashion photographer – played by Fisher Stevens.
The photographer had previously crossed paths with Munch and his partner Fin – played by Ice T – in a previous episode. Executive producer Warren Leight commented: “This episode was perfect for Munch’s cynical eye, and just the right time for him to give Benson, and Noah, some much needed support“.
